Last updated: August 5, 2026
1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cardigo's website, web application, mobile applications, APIs, and related services (the "Service") operated by Cardigo ("Cardigo", "we", "us", or "our"). By registering for or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use Cardigo on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use Cardigo. You may not use the Service if you are barred under applicable law or if we have previously suspended or terminated your account for violations of these Terms.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your profile reasonably up to date.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account unless you notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security or legal risk.
4. The Service
Cardigo provides tools to create and share digital business cards, scan and save contacts, exchange information via QR, link, NFC, or handshake features, use event mode, view analytics, and add passes to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet where supported.
Features may change over time. Some capabilities require device permissions (camera, NFC, photos) or third-party wallet platforms. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may perform maintenance or updates.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Cardigo. Prohibited conduct includes:
- Uploading unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harassing, or harmful content.
- Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation.
- Scraping, reverse engineering, or attempting to bypass security or rate limits except as permitted by law.
- Sending spam or unsolicited messages using Cardigo contact features.
- Collecting or processing others' personal data without a lawful basis and appropriate notice.
- Interfering with the operation of the Service or other users' experience.
- Using OCR or contact tools to build unauthorized marketing lists or violate anti-spam laws.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Cardigo, including profile information, images, and branding assets. You grant Cardigo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service as you direct through product features (for example, displaying your public card).
You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your content and that it does not violate third-party rights or applicable law.
7. Contacts and third-party information
When you scan, import, or save contact information about others, you are responsible for complying with applicable privacy, data protection, and marketing laws, including obtaining any required consent before contacting those individuals outside Cardigo.
8. Subscriptions and paid features
Some features may be offered for a fee in the future. If paid plans are introduced, pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation terms will be presented before purchase. Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
9. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party platforms such as Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, social networks, or websites you add to your profile. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and policies. Cardigo is not responsible for third-party services.
10. Cardigo intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by Cardigo or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no license is granted to you.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CARDIGO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT OCR RESULTS, CONTACT DATA, OR ANALYTICS WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR COMPLETE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARDIGO AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID CARDIGO IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
13. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cardigo from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Termination
You may stop using Cardigo at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Cardigo is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise. Disputes should first be raised with us at the contact below so we can attempt to resolve them informally.
16. Changes
We may modify these Terms. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
